ASMR - History of Mirrors

Hi guys,
this is an introduction to the history of mirrors; how they were made since pre-historic times until they became ordinary objects in the past two centuries, instead of the luxury goods they used to be. I also discuss their symbolism and how having access to our image at any time modified our life style.

I love all of your videos, but this one was very revealing in terms of human psychology. It is a subject I often thought about growing up, which arose early in elementary school for me. I never found anyone interested or fascinated by this question until now. The way you put this information together and outlined the literary and social context/connections was amazing! It is a discussion I waited a long time to hear or be a part of. You spoke everything I could ever want to say and did so more eloquently than I could ever put into words. Thank you very much for such wonderful and inspiring work. Again I always enjoy your videos and I absolutely love your spin on everything. Great ASMR as always, and as others have said, I rarely fall asleep watching your videos, instead I use it as my time to relax and actually as a source of my favorite kind of entertainment. Instead of reading or trying to have a conversation with someone about history or watch a documentary I pretty much always prefer your videos first. ;)

Hope I won`t break the spell you so awesomely are capable to put on listeners (Plus: the content you deliver...wow, and with the intonation ...just sooo soothing, your French accent seems to increase the impact...)-----------yet, may I ask: 1. what led you to do this work? 2. gee, feel awful asking this here, but: do you get paid...by whom, respectively what ..."management"? No I don't get paid for this, I do videos for fun, and as I am an amateur in everything I talk about, it is a way to live all these lives I could not have because you can only choose one :). Like most youtubers I just make a bit of money from donations on paypal and patreon, and from the monetization of videos (See these little banners that appear about 10 seconds into the video if you are on PC or laptop? But this is really close to nothing because I desactivate video ads, that are much more profitable but so annoying for viewers).

"Amateur" you say...well, you (it) does not sound amateurish... at least you must be quite well-read! And very interested in all sorts of what homo martialis calls "knowledge"...that we sure have in common! Actually ---inspite of your soothing voice--- I , after a short while of listening, I still registered your French accent...but WHAT you talked about and HOW you formulated the What.... was too interesting, I got rather wide awake...(speaking strictly for me!!!)
