The fact that she thought to use sign before surgery because it’s for a cochlear implant is genius i didn’t even think about that
@jennifergnann98327 ай бұрын
The patient would still need sign after surgery too. They have to heal before they can activate and even then, it takes months to years for the brain to learn to listen with the CI. Most still use and need sign language after getting implants. My daughter and husband are deaf and wear hearing aids. They are both canidates but declined for now. There’s no guarantee that they will work and it’s a lot of speech therapy and sometimes maintenance surgeries involved. They also risk losing any residual hearing they have. Until recently, anyone that got the surgery always lost their residual hearing so if it didn’t work for them they had no access to sound. (I know you didn’t ask all of that but I shared for the sake of education lol. ) I’m an advocate for giving deaf children sign language even if they have CI’s. 🤟
@breephoenix1117 ай бұрын
@jennifergnann9832, please don't spread misinformation. I have a cochlear implant, and it was activated 7 days after my surgery. I lost my hearing as an adult overnight and waited 2 years for my cochlear implant surgery. When it was activated things sounded static but within two weeks I could understand everyone. No I don't sign. It dosent take months to years for the brain to learn how to process sound. Don't speak on behalf of the deaf community.

I am absolutely sure this surgery will succeed as most cozy hospital surgeries do! The Cozy Hospital cares for there patients well being more than any other hospital combined! Hey Rachel! I just wanted to say that I really loved this video! The surgery part was amazing of course and very relaxing but I especially loved the nurse section! I loved the fact that we had a record amount of characters you played for the first time in a while with four! With the anesthesiologist the two nurses and the surgeon who I believe is Dr. Cozy but you could have been playing a different surgeon who knows lol! We can maybe argue that maybe you played five characters if the nurse who visited the patient in the second half of the video wasn't one of the two nurses who assisted in surgery but I assume she was one of them. I was also so happy that you brought the crinkly gown back! Its been a few months since its last appearance I believe but I remember when I first found your channel and in my first ever comment on here I told you how much I love the crinkly gowns because the first video I ever watched of yours included them! I will definitely be playing this wonderful video again tonight for the coziest restful sleep! I also think I might have a good name for the second nurse character! Since we have Dr. Cozy because the namesake of the hospital is of course the cozy hospital but also because Dr. Cozy makes sure the patients feel safe and comfortable so her name absolutely fits her caring nature. Maybe the nurse can be named Nurse Comfy because comfy has almost the same definition as Cozy and the point of the hospital is to make sure patients feel comfy and cozy so I think it makes sense and I think its a cute name! If you like it let me know but if you don't I can definitely come up with a more common regular name like Chelsea and Megan have. I feel very honored that you let me come up with the name for your character! I never thought you would ask me to make that big of an impact on the channel so thank you so much! I hope your Saint Patrick's Day was amazing for you and your family! Lots of love Rachel! Never forget how amazing you are!❤❤❤
@thecozyhospitalasmr7 ай бұрын
Okay so… the post-op nurse was a different nurse. That was Chelsea. 🤣🤣🤣 Chelsea isn’t a scrub nurse lolllll god maybe I need to make name tags for everyone. Megan isn’t allowed in the operating rooms. She’s fine but easily distracted. 🤭 Scrub/surgical nurses are a very different breed from recovery. The ones I knew working in the hospital I worked at were more focused on being in sync with their surgeons than patient care; they didn’t do a lot of that. A little bit during pre-op, but that was mostly it. That may be different in other hospitals; I only ever worked in 2. Nurse Comfy is very cute tho! She sounds like she belongs more in recovery or the ICU. I did not do anything St Patricky yesterday but I did wear green pants. Regardless, it was a good day and I hope yours was good too!! ❤️❤️❤️
@CaidenTube7 ай бұрын
@@thecozyhospitalasmr Oh that's cool that there are so many different kinds of nurses! That means you really did play five characters! That's awesome! Yeah I can understand the Megan thing I would definitely trust her with other medical tasks though! It really is so cool that you were a nurse I am absolutely sure you were an amazing one and it makes sense on how you know so much about medical procedures and that you have so many medical tools! It would be very cool if you made medical tags for every character then we would have so many members of the cozy staff that have there own unique name! I'm so happy you like my Nurse Comfy name idea! I thought it was very cute and I'm glad you feel the same way! I hope maybe you might have her appear with that name in a future video! My Saint Patrick's Day was good but all I really did holiday wise was get a Shamrock Shake and I love them so that's a win there lol! Hope you have a great day Rachel! Lots of love!❤❤❤

I think it’s to give some context to the viewers overall and some people who have this operation may also have been able to hear before and not always been deaf and come to partial hearing/deafness. Like when it cuts to the surgery part you’re supposed to be “under” so it’s an outside perspective there

@randomgirl13_8557 ай бұрын
I think, as I've seen others do it, she records seperate video clips acording to what she's doing and then puts them together in one video such as this. It takes some skill and editing magic.
@thecozyhospitalasmr7 ай бұрын
Like Random said, it’s two video clips (well one that I cut in half - I try not to touch the camera so it moves as little as possible) and then one clip has an opacity mask that I track as needed to move around both clips.
