ASMR Hospital Roleplay

Hello lovely people!
I am a little bit nervous about today's ASMR roleplay as I know it can be a triggering topic. We will be discussing ED's, specifically anorexia.
If watching content about eating disorders is too triggering for you then please do not watch today's video (I promise my next vid will be more lighthearted).
I decided to brave this difficult topic because I don't want KZbin monetisation rules to stop me from having hard conversations.
I do not personally work with people with ED's so please keep in mind that this video is for entertainment purposes only.
I tried to cover this topic as delicately as I could with what little information on it that I do have.

In hindsight -
I wonder if in future when I cover heavy topics, that maybe I could make a community post to get your views and your own personal experiences so that I can incorporate them into my videos. That way, instead of me coming at the topic from only my lens, it is encompassing of other people's lived experiences.

@@ASMRtherapist1 Anytime. There's a fine line between faking interest in a patients problems and, although trying to help, a suffocating, almost patronising attitude, like speaking to a child. I feel you've found just the right spot..

I appreciate you taking on such a challenging topic.(I didn't realize you'd have to risk monetization to do it - just another reason YT needs to overhaul the way it operates) I had wondered if you were basing this off a case-study, especially when you were getting deeper into the patient's underlying anxieties. If you want to involve others through the community post when it comes to more sensitive topics, just be prepared for what you might be opening yourself up to - especially when it comes to parasocial relationships and people looking to you for therapy or comfort if you're asking people on the internet to discuss their personal issues. Either way, this was an interesting video and I look forward to more as you advance in your career! (also looking forward to your more light-hearted videos as well)

Thank you for your detailed feedback. I didn't base this on a particular case study or anything - Someone else had asked if I could address this topic and I just did a bit of research and made up my own thing for it. That's a really good point about the parasocial relationships and definitely worth reflecting on further before making any decisions. I think I just want to find the most respectful way to address the harder topics and not just make my own assumptions on them if someone had better information to offer. My next video is going to be a lighthearted one for sure! I feel like I need it after this one 😅
