The ridged part on the spine of the knife blade is called "jimping". Jimping helps prevent your fingers from sliding and allows for better control of the blade.

You can never have too many knives in a collection. And the Far Cry reference, is my jam. Spent a year on Far Cry 3 collecting lost letters and artifacts, and getting good enough at liberating outposts that my loadout didn't change.

I really like tactical knives, tactical flashlights, binoculars. I know that no guy will walk past a shop window with knives, flashlights and binoculars. I have about ten knives in my collection, I know for sure that I will never use them. But I like quality charismatic knives. I like knives with micarta handles. I like black coated knives. I have knives from Cold Steel, Ontario, SOG, CRKT, Leatherman. But there are two kitchen knives that I always use - the Cold Steel Butcher Knife and the Cold Steel Canadian Belt Knife, these are very charismatic knives and for these knives I use a Lansky Croc Sticks sharpener. For other knives I use Lansky's Professional Knife Sharpener which has a knife clip.💗

Nice collection. I just have one cheap utility pocket knife but I could definitely get into knife collecting. I like the heat anodized kind that look sort of rainbow colored and the extra fancy ones with intricate designs and those spring assisted, quick opening tactical knives.

The far cry 4 knife he's talking about are called "kukri" used by Gurkha soldiers of Nepal and India, it is bit more curved then the knife you have but pretty similar

Agree. It's a real epidemic over here. You can still buy really nice knives from the hunting shops though. I have some beautiful Rambo survival knives. Although I've got to admit, my arse was flapping every time I bought one, as I would walk home with them from the store. I only live a few minutes walk from the shop, but was hoping the police wouldn't just randomly stop me and find a giant knife on my person. 😂
