Ok ok ok wait I have an idea even though I’m late 😅 so what if listeners phone went off from a text and they looked at it then flipped over the phone and went back to eating but when kurapika gets suspicious and reaches for the phone listener immediately reaches for the food instead of her phone thinking kurapika was gonna take the food.
