Your hands seemingly move without thought, yet with great purpose. I love it. I liken it to the ability to squint, but know exactly what you’re looking at in detail. You can form the true image in your minds eye, piece by piece, as it comes into focus. You can see a river, or a grassy plain, whereas I only see colors and lines. Thats why it’s so enjoyable to me. It’s a skill I don’t have, and may not be suited to attain.

I am a survivor of child abuse. For many years, I cared for my dementia parents and helped them with their rehabilitation. I quit my job, gave up my youth, and now they are both dead. I still have nightmares and have a hard time, but I still try to find peace of mind through writing and painting. I'm new to oil painting. I'm very happy when I paint. And please love my KZbin channel a lot. It's comforting to see you drawing.

This is the first video where I can see a kneaded eraser is used with oil pastels. Is that for smooth blending paint with some special effects? Can you say a couple of words about that? Wonderful video, and definitely you know how to draw and paint.
@ArtTherapyASMR6 ай бұрын
Thanks! I use the Kneaded eraser to remove the surface layers of pastel, since it doesn't leave crumbs and it's really sticky it completely removes the last layers you applied. You'll never get a white paper underneath but you can pretty much erase and reapply endlessly.

What kind of oil pastels am I buying?😂😂 Bc I can’t overlay the lighter colors over the darker ones like that. It all just gets muddy. Maybe I’m applying too much of the darker colors? Or using the wrong paper? But this gives me hope

I brought pastels but don't know whay to do with them. The paper i use is the basic cheap sketch paper you see in craft stores amd when i use the oil pastels it starts peeling and makes huge mess. What should i do? I'm a broke btw so pls something budget friendly advise
@ArtTherapyASMR4 ай бұрын
Try using thicker paper with more texture, but not too much, i think 180g paper is perfect for oil pastels. Although i can draw on almost any paper since the oil pastels i use are really sticky, but they're not cheap. The best ones at a cheap price are the Van Gogh oil pastels, i can draw on any paper with those too.

Why do you tape it done?
@wonderstreet8325Ай бұрын
The person in the video tapes it down so the paper stays in place, so it doesn't need to be held by hand while drawing or painting. Hope this helps you understand. ^^

It appears random but when you stick to the end you know it was all planned, likewise you might see God's actions as random or it might not make sense to you but actually it's also planned and because he is the most wise then you should expect the final image to be astonishing. Most people view things from their angle and accuse god of bad things even though they don't see the full picture as God sees it. So put your trust in Allah and he will never let you down. And be as Moses when pharaoh asked him 'and who is the god of all worlds'? Moses told him "the lord of the heavens and earth and what's between them if you are indeed a believers!" Then pharaoh told his ministers 'don't you listen to this?' then Moses said "your lord and your first forefathers lord" then the pharaoh said ' indeed the prophet that was sent to you people is crazy!' then Moses said "the lord of the east and the west and what's between them if you did but understand!"
