I really do wonder what the heck happened to them from time to time. I was hoping they would continue the mystery in some fashion as an easter egg in starfield - like they spontaneously ended up on some planet, started anew and then had disappeared once again, leaving behind their neo-steam-centurian ruins.

I think it would be super cool if we got a “just” ending for the Falmer/Snow Elves. Whether it be another survivor like Gelebor from the Dawnguard dlc, or maybe the Dwemer come back to their ruins to find a “sickness” spread from the bodies of the Falmer causing all/most of them to perish. The second one could even be a Daedric Quest line for Namira in ES6 (or a game/dlc later on).

Like physically bring back the Dwemer? Yea that would never happen but there will definitely be Dwemer ruins and such like the previous games so we’ll definitely learn something more about them. I feel like the Dwemer are more interesting as a mysterious lost faction / people we don’t know much about
