Truthfully its not worth as much as you probably think. I'm also an avid movie collector and most VHS (even the Disney Black Diamond edition VHS) don't actually sell for that much. For collectors its definitely about the passion and nostalgia for film rather than monetary value.

@@kyleliegel Well, now it might not be worth. But VHS is out of development and these are small relics of past. I bet there will be a markup as time goes on because the later it is in life the less people will have these. Just a theory but you got a point.

@@glacialsnowman3709 Unfortunately VHS just have little practicality anymore unlike other forms of analog and physical media like records. And people can easily express their love of film physically via other ways like movie posters for example. I think as time goes on VHS will actually depreciate in value more than they already have.

Probably not as much as you'd think; when I go thrifting the VHS tapes are 5 cents a piece. HOWEVER, he does seem to have a lot of tapes that I have never seen in a secondhand store, and I'm sure there's plenty of people who would be willing to pay more. They do also seem to be in very good shape, in comparison to some of the tapes I've sifted through at the store. My entire childhood VHS collection cost me $5, but that's because they were all thrifted 😳

@@kyleliegel I like VHS tapes because they last REALLY long in comparison to my DVDs. For some reason, we've had to replace many DVDs because they were easily scratched. Static on a VHS tape is more tolerable than constant freezing/skipping. However, the picture quality deteriorates significantly over time...it kinda adds to the nostalgia though.
