Porn is degrading for both the people in it and the people watching it. It reduces sex to a meaningless act of lust, it devalues real love and relationships in society. It is also highly addictive and feeds off natural human desire to procreate. I think the average age of a person who watches porn for the first time is something like 11, and while many will think that's exciting at the time and play it down as no big deal, this is genuinely warping our children's minds to think about sex and relationships in a purely transactional, loveless, hedonistic way and it erodes the moral fabric of society and the nuclear family. I know most people have at least seen porn if they don't regularly watch it and when you've done so for long enough it's easy to shrug it off as normal and no big deal, but I think the negative effects are fairly clear to see once you do a bit of digging and self-reflection. It can be frowned upon, especially by fellow men, to have a negative view of pornography these days, and I think this is a big reason as to why many never admit there are issues. It's certainly worth thinking about.
