ASMR Page Squeezing Before Bed • No Talking

Today's video features almost an hour of page turning with pronounced page squeezing. We're flipping through a design book and two movie books (love those!).
When I started my ASMR channel, I had no idea page squeezing was "a thing", but as I'm getting to know people in this wonderful community, I better understand and respect the wide variety of ASMR triggers. That's partly what makes up the beauty of ASMR: its inscrutableness, and how it is so many-sided it can't be pinned down or captured in a formula.
For some of us, page turning coupled with page squeezing is one of the most wondrous ASMR triggers. It brings out those tingles and gives a feeling of comfort at the same time.

I come back to this every night. As a kid I used to wodner why I'd get Tingles and want to doze off when in the school library listening to people turn pages. Growing up I noticed myself zoning out when I heard my mum flipping pages in her catalogues. Now as an adult I realise I wasn't weird after all. This is the best one out there for me. Nostalgic. I noticed it when i'd phone up a utility company, they'd bring up my details on their computer, and the tap, tap, tapping of the keyboard in the background would make me feel dreamy! I get the same with gentle crinkles, tapping in general, hand sounds, and this kind of page turning. This is my second Poisabloom vid, and i'm subscribing!!

It's funny because I had the same thing happen to me all the time as a child too! I really thought I was the only one lol...but even IF I felt weird about it, you would NEVER here me complain because it is the most relaxing feeling everrrr! 🧡🖤🧡🖤💕

I'm 59 now & first noticed back in the late 60's/early 70's that page flipping triggered a sense of well-being & relaxation. What is strange is that I only came to realise in the last year or so that there is a name for it & therefore plenty of videos...thankfully!

Hey Mags, thanks for your question. Some of these books are my own, others I get from the local library. I did audiovisual culture studies after my master's degree (in an attempt to postpone actually having to go to work :), and kept several study books about (the history of) movies.
