I’m 21 and at school away from my family this year and my mom always used to go all out for easter with the baskets and stuffed animals and everything. I always loved them and thought they were so cute! This video inspired me to text my mom and ask her if she could send me a little something for easter in the mail and it made her day😊

Easter was always a huge event for my family growing up! My mom would buy us each a brand new outfit to dress up in. We would dye hard boiled eggs. The Easter Bunny would hide eggs in our yard and we would go hunt for them. Then we would open our gift baskets from him that were full of candy and toys/items. My mom would make a huge feast centered around a roasted ham. Now as adults/older kids, the Easter Bunny is no longer believed in, so my mom just gives my siblings and I a small basket with candy and a small gift. She still cooks the feast though! I’m 23 weeks pregnant with my first AND the first grandchild, so the Easter Bunny tradition will be revived again next year, and I’m SO excited to do it for my child. ❤️

We do Easter baskets and an egg hunt but we are not big on the bunny. We are Christian so our focus is on the resurrection. We play games with the kids to teach them about passion week. My kids are 21,7, and my youngest turns 6 the day before Easter this year. Even my 21 year old gets a small basket. My husband is awesome and gets me several bags of peanut butter cups to hide in the freezer.

I grew up with a few different winters, all dependent on what was blooming. They all went in order, though I can only remember a few (redbud, dogwood, blackberry, a couple of others). I thought it was just a tale but turns out it's science! Those plants/trees have to go through a cold snap in order to bloom. Blackberry was always supposed to be the last, so hopefully the weather settles down soon!

I so love when you remenise about your childhood. It takes me back to mine. My mom always made a big deal for Easter. I tried to do the same with my son. Although he's 16 too, I make him a teen Easter basket with items he likes & candy. It makes me sad too that he outgrew childhood traditions. As you said, it's part of life. Take care Mary & have a blessed weekend. 😊🌻💮🌺🌷🌼💐🐇💜💙💛❤️🧡💚

We don't celebrate Easter in Iran BUT our new year is the spring equinox (21st March but we have our own calendar though). We celebrate the end of cold winter and start of spring and the moment earth finishes a revolution is the new year's moment. So it's nature based and has nothing to do with religion AND yet 😅 we set a special table for the new year that includes painted🥚s! I didn't even know about Easter or Easter eggs till I was 15. 😅
