Fun fact: it's actually the chemical bacteria emit when they die. It's meant to be attractive to other motile beings because bacteria "eggs" are sticky, and when things come by, the eggs will stick to them and be carried to a more habitable place to Hatch and live

Love your videos sooo much, and I can handle 1 or 2 ads in midroll- But I’ll likely not be viewing when I want to fall asleep anymore unfortunately as the ads are sooo loud. I hit my 5th ad midway and gave up. I’ll still watch your videos, just not when I’m trying to sleep. I personally will not ask you to change the ads as that’s your prerogative and I know many will have premium

AFAIK KZbin has recently changed how ads work and creators can’t choose to go without mid roll or post-video ads, they either have no ads or lots. I seem to remember some other ASMR channels discussing that anyways.

I've noticed it in all sorts of videos but also not all channels so idk if it's something they can choose or if there's some system YT uses that chooses who gets them and who doesn't. It's so strange! I know the ones at the beginning and end are not optional but idk about the midroll ads...

Generally asmrtists don't use any midrolls for exactly this reason, but sadly Kaya unfortunately does. It's a dealbreaker for me too, so I only watch her if I don't plan to fall asleep (or I have premium)

@@alternativeprincess7433 as far as I understand, KZbin recently removed the ability for creators to really choose where the midrolls happen, and increased the amount of ads per video. It’s been ridiculous, every video I’ve watched regardless of length has had two ads within the first 10 minutes. It’s annoying 💀
