Definitely late to the party, but I'm an elementary school teacher. I make about $43,000 per year before taxes (about $2,800 per month for all bills after taxes). Teacher pay is typically based on where you live and what school district you work for. Hopefully this helps put into perspective how much $500 is for a teacher.

in my area (northern va) teacher pay is dictated by what degree you have and how long you have been teaching in the county. my mother is currently making just over 6 figures and we are still considered low class🤷‍♀️

Hi ,please be careful on the comments you decide to read out. Not all sexual abused children become abusers, its not easy dealing with abuse ,I personally know friends as well as my self who have been abused, we don't have any of those disgusting feelings for children, and I know I have helped children while I worked in a school, so please, tar and brush not appreciated 😢

Hey love, thank you for pointing that out! I usually don’t read these stories and comments beforehand and I was definitely taken by surprise by this one & I wish I would have worded better that this comment does not reflect my beliefs either! I’m not sure how the comment was worded exactly but in my head I wasn’t even thinking about sexual abuse but domestic violence, as that is something I experienced growing up and based what I said of that without even thinking about SA. I would love to bring this up again in a future video and talk more in depth about it. If you’d like and feel comfortable with it you can email or comment your thoughts and I’ll read it, as I think this is super important to talk about 💗

@@freyaasmr-redditstories hi Freya ,thank you for your reply. It's such a difficult topic to talk about, I saw violence growing up ,I believe I was approx 3 years old ,and then my mum remarried ,someone that sexually abused me from 5years old to 11 years old, I did tell my mum about this ,but unfortunately it fell on deaf ears. She then while still married met someone else who was an violent alcoholic, who would hit my mum,my younger sister and myself, he also was absolutely fantastic at mental abuse. That was me being sarcastic. X I had one person in my life , my Nan she oozed love, even though she didn't know about all the abuse. She was the light in my darkness. My attitude to this day as a 50 year old lady with 3 grown up boys ,is this, those that abuse others, have choices, they choose what they do ,they know what they do is wrong ,or why hide what they are doing , they lie ,sneak about grab opportunities to do these things. For people all of us that have suffered from some form of abuse,we may struggle at times, feel like we are drowning ,from all the mixed up emotions in our lives,we must swim ,keep swimming ,because we are strong, don't be afraid to talk about what happened to you ,you're not the guilty one, We didn't do anything wrong they did. We all have scars, from things in our lives,I choose years ago to no longer hide them ,but help children as much as I could ,I'm not a teacher ,but the job now comes with ,looking out for abuse and how to report it, just letting children know ,they can trust you,and you are there for them. I hope this message helps someone, and gives them some strength.
