What happens to the contract if the stock doesn’t reach that price? Do you lose any money?

as the seller, thats what you want. you don't lose any money, you keep the premium you received from whoever bought the calls you sold. and since the stock didnt go above the strike price you sold for, you dont have to sell any shares either.

Oh shit he selling calls just like i believed he should on that video from 8 months ago, this is the way bro, the way you trade, selling calls is better for you and if the stock pays divy is a bonus, and if you feel like averaging down sell a put, ive been profitable 9 months in a row wheeling stocks, i never thought that was possible for me

Hi CnP, in regards to the covered calls, is there a metric which describes the probability of the strike price being reached by the specified date?

I believe the delta is what you’re referring to. Usually it’s shown as a decimal. When I was looking for a good strike price to sell, I was aiming for under .25. Realistically I don’t want to sell, but if I had to, I’d be up a considerable amount in 3 months time. Not sure what I’ll end up going with but that was my initial thought.

I don’t remember that much about options but wouldn’t the buyer of the call just not exercise if the stock price is below strike price at expiration?
