ASMR Rug Tufting | Tommy Hilfiger Logo (Start To Finish)

Welcome to my second rug tufting video! Thank you for taking the time to watch and for checking out the description.
This rug was made for my brother as a Christmas present as he likes the brand. You can find more videos on my TikTok.
You may notice that some of the earlier clips are flipped. I actually made a rookie mistake and forgot to flip the image when projecting! Luckily I noticed just after doing the lettering so was able to save it by plucking out the strands of yarn (this took a while) and flipping the tufting cloth upside down.

Materials Used:
- Primary Tufting Cloth (Monks Cloth)
- DK (Double Knit) Yarn 100g each (I used 8 total. 4 Blue, 2 Red, 2 White)
- EVO-STIK Adhesive Glue (For gluing the back)
- Hot Glue Sticks (For the edges)
- Rug Backing Fabric (Non-Slip)
- Bond it Strong Spray Adhesive (For gluing the backing on)

How difficult was it your first time?

@@akeem2752 I wouldn't say it's difficult, it's just figuring out what's comfortable and how to space the lines. I started on a couple of smaller designs just to test spacing and speed. The shaving is probably the trickier bit but patience seems to be key! ☺️

Hi there, awesome rug! Can you please tell me where you got your frame with those round clips? Do they work better than the carpet tack strips?

Thank You! I got the frame from Amazon. I haven't actually used a wooden one with the carpet strips as I'm just starting out so can't say if it's better or not, but this metal one is a good size to start and a very solid build. I chose this one as i wanted it to be storable and i really like the clips. (The tack strips definitely look quicker to set up the cloth on the frame though)

Do you still think the metal frame is good and worth the money you paid for it on Amazon?

I purchased this during Black Friday so the cost wasn't too bad. I have seen a lot of other people saying they don't like it but personally it has been great for me. You do have to support the bottom to stop it leaning forward but it's mainly for sitting so I just put my foot on it 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think for the price it may be better to start with a wooden frame and I will eventually be getting a wooden frame for bigger projects but for now it's perfect for me 😊 I have no issues with the clips and getting the cloth tight myself, but i can understand why people may struggle. My main purpose for this frame was to easily change the size and be able to store it which it does perfectly. If you don't need those things then i would probably recommend just getting a wooden one though. Hope that helps!
