Bro. People like you are what restore my faith in humanity. THANK YOU!!!!! I spent so long listening to other goobers on here that dont explain the technicalities, methods, and reasoning behind the technicalities and your methods... thats the only way I learn. I really think people learn better when you give them a REASON why they should follow said advice, and what happens when you don't. You're my kind of dude! Im subscribing, i wish you the absolute best man, and again, thank you!

@@dwrugs Hi, what kind of fabric you used as base? Looks so much thicker & firmer that what Ive seen. What tufting machine youd recommend? My designs, Id like to be able to do paragraph of small texts. Maybe machine that could be fed thinner yarns? Never done this, sorry if the Qs are dumb :) Thanks!

Great video, super helpful! For some reason I can’t get mine to work properly with 2 strands. It works fine with 1 but is all messed up when I add the second strand. Do you know what I can do to fix this?

Hello! beginner here. I think i do alright doing straight lines. But im having trouble with curves. Im going slow but it has lumps and making holes on canvas. Help!
@Ciprian-Amarandei4 ай бұрын
One of the best videos out of 20-30 I watched explaining tehcnical stuff. What I don't know is: Can I change the needle size so that it matched the fabric "holes" spacing? Or use different fabric that is not specifically made for tufting? Can I adjust the size where the scissor cuts the yarn...So I can make the rug ticker or tinner?

Hii! For some reason the gun drops the yarn. Why can?
@Canyoudigityesyoucan Жыл бұрын
Is the gun heavy? Will my hand hurt?? What does the gun weigh? Can I get a light one?? Good job, very creative and your rugs look really dope. Do people hang these on the wall or use them in bedrooms? I don’t know anyone who has one….
@dwrugs Жыл бұрын
Thank you! The gun does get quite heavy after using it for a while, but it's not too bad overall... I hang a lot of my rugs on the wall and a lot of my customers have as well. I just use small nails to nail it to the wall

Hey bro I just bought some tufting equipment, so my wife and I could learn the craft. I was wondering, what type of yarn are you using here? From my understanding, there’s acrylic, cotton, and wool.
@dwrugs Жыл бұрын
I use acrylic for most of mine, it’s easy to find at craft stores like Michael’s or JoAnn

do you create your frames or do you get them already done? i am in doubt if its best to have two frames a big and a small, or just get a big one and tuft multiple carpets on the cloth
@lovethatforme Жыл бұрын
I got someone to make me three. Two small ones and one big one. It cost way less than purchasing ONE on Amazon.

Man. Tufting seems like a huge shortcut technique once you know about the traditional rug-making techniques. The cartoon design, then every single freaking knot.
@j.cojeda Жыл бұрын
Hey great video bro! Question, is there a reason you fill out the letters first before outlining?
@dwrugs Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The reason I do that is because I typically do a rug from the inside out if I can. That way, I can shave and sculpt the edges along the way

I have watched a load of tufting videos and it has only just occurred to me that the machine doesn't have a walking foot like you'd get on a sewing machine that would give equal spacing.

It might be the pressure you are applying to the fabric. You have to be firm but not too hard
