When I was around eleven years old, I shared a room with my mother in an apartment when my dad left and took my brother. Anyway, somehow your videos make me think of when I was that age, and remind me of the good parts. 💗 I used to walk to a craft store called The Rag Shop. We didn’t have phones back then so when I realized how long I was there, just looking at everything, I went back home and my mom had been worried about me. I guess I had been gone quite a few hours. 😆 I didn’t even buy anything. Just looked at EVERYTHING there.😂 I have five children now, ages 2-11 and don’t dare spend much time in stores if they’re all with me. This is like going back in time, and shopping in peace and quiet🥰💟

We learned a lot. But now they are just down the street so I am so excited to be able to see them whenever I want. My other daughter is still living with me. The other thing I’m excited about is a grandchild and child family reunion here in July. My little Chiclets will be around for about a week. All together after more than 12 years. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Just an idea for those birch logs and the reeds you liked, get a tall vase or a sturdy tall basket and arrange some in it and you could put it on your hearth or a corner of a room that needed a little something. You could even string some of the little wire fairy lights onto them to make it cozy at night.

I love Craft stores and crafting. Ever sit and look around the craft store and just enjoy all the beautiful colors. Especially with all the spring stuff starting to appear. So inspiring. So many things to be made, so many possibilities. I just started making walkthrough shopping videos and I’m considering making more. I just feel a little awkward filming in the store. I was curious if you could share any tips you may have for filming in the store? I’d love to learn from each other.

Craft stores are definitely exciting. A couple of tips… always wait to film at a time when there are few people in the store. That’s usually at opening time or closing time. Pick the slowest day of the week. Avoid stores with loud background music so you don’t get copyright strikes. Always ask the manager for permission to film. Unless you know that store already allows it. Always be patient and wait for the quiet moment within the store or the aisles. I think the rest is up to style and personal taste. Enjoy!

Yes! I am going to gather up beads from old thrift shops and antique stores and everywhere that I can find them to make the jewelry. You can see the beads in the video that I posted where I am sorting the beads. Did you see that video?
