The whole thing is beautiful. I think I want one but I want a bigger one for a deeper sound. Started working on the mallet tonight, I'm making it out of cedar wood. It's already getting smooth and soft with a great cedar smell.

I really wanted this to work for me, but the abrupt tapping on the bowl is just too much. I find myself flinching. I've experienced an incredible ASMR during a Reiki session where the practitioner mostly ran the mallet around the rim of the bowl. It was like a scalp massage. I've never been able to recreate the sensation, but it was....sensational.

I really don't find anything really interesting in tapping a bowl and generating pleasure or spiritual feelings. God made us who we are and we're not perfect but he sure as hell did not make us weak enough to at some point we'd be tapping a fucking copper bowl with a wooden tool.
