Hey Rosy, your voice is calming me in these difficult times... thank you

This was super interesting and relaxing Rosy. It would be quite cool to hear more about South Africa, and stories about it, as being in the UK I never really hear about what life is like in South Africa. Anyway have fantastic week and I look forward to more in the future :D.

I was just thinking how I wanted to learn more about South Africa after seeing some of your other videos, so the timing of this is too perfect! Thanks for making this 😊

this is what separates other countries’ idea of patriotism from the US’s. real patriotism is loving your country while also recognizing that it’s not a better place than everywhere else and it’s far from perfect.

In the UK we have special editions too. Most of the time they are our 50p as they have the biggest surface area I'm guessing. They'll be themes like the anniversary of VE day or a set of literary characters to celebrate the life and career of their author and such like that. :)

Back in 1987 I listened to radio South Africa on my shortwave radio. They had every evening a one hour program in Dutch, my language. It was exciting, no internet then yet 😁

This is fascinating. My only knowledge of SA other than this is the guy from Alan Partridge and an insane engineer I used to work with. Good to know there’s more to it that that.

luckily i’ve visited my childhood best friend in South Africa a couple times so i don’t get confused with what Rand is equivalent to in British pounds! i feel so clever 🤓

Great relaxing vídeo. Except for the part she said Mandela rising to Power made things better. He was a terrorist and a murderer. How the hell did South Africa change for the better when that man rised to Power?
@ZiggyWhiskerz3 жыл бұрын
I always think it's weird when nations get rid of their 1¢ coins. They do have a purpose and function. Edit: I did some googling to see how to the Rand compares to the US dollar so I could get a field of reference. Soooo one Rand currently equals 0.069 of one US dollar. Ooooof. What happened there???
@Jemini42282 жыл бұрын
I think a lot of people's objections come from the fact that the resources used to mint each penny are worth more than the value of the coin. In that way the exercise seems a bit pointless for some people.

I love your asmr and you seem so nice, but you say "um" after almost every sentence, and it kind of makes it less relaxing for me. I'm not trying to be rude btw, just trying to give some public speech advise, I hope you understand.

Thank you for pointing it out! It’s such a bad habit. I’ll try limit it in future ☺️
