Hi. I was recently diagnosed with scoliosis. I also have 4 herniated discs, 2 badly ruptured discs causing severe stenosis of my spinal cord, and discitis. On top of all the new things just mentioned, I've had rheumatoid arthritis since I was 4 (21 now). I've had to quit working, and day to day activities are a struggle. I want you to know all of your videos help ease my pain. Thank-you so much.

While all of your videos are top quality, I often find myself coming back to this one whenever I’m suffering from tingle immunity. I don’t know what it is but the sound of the the instrument going over the bumps and ridges of ‘my out-of-alignment-spine’ gives me tingles every time, guaranteed. I could honestly go for an entire video of those sounds, ear to ear.
@elafacwen81767 жыл бұрын
Oh wow, I've been all but desensitized to tingles for a couple years now, but still watch ASMR videos nightly for relaxation. This, however, got me goooood!! Such intense tingles!!

This was a very strange sensation. When you were running the measuring device (didn't see it well enough to know exactly what it was) over the spine at around 4:18, I experienced something different with ASMR. So, I have back pains that manifest in the bottom left of my back. I got some pretty intense pain, but also some really amazing tingles within the same region. I have absolutely no idea what just happened, but that was certainly an experience. Thanks!

Thanks, just concepts I've been thinking about from watching tribal people and primates, what if we've lost touch with part of our genetic make up when it comes to our mind and body releasing chemical responses to stimuli in our environment good or bad. From grooming, telling stories around the campfire, to fear or romantic responses that chemically alter the body?
@samaraholbrook97987 жыл бұрын
You're so right. Hugging someone releases Oxytocin, which lowers the heart rate and Cortisol levels...cortisol is a hormone that causes stress & heart disease. Who's to say other social actions don't do the same? You're on to something :)

What makes an incredible experience for me when it comes to ASMR is a very in character role play (if it's a role play of sorts) and you certainly fit the bill. Unfortunately for me it's not like it use to be because I've become the notorious "ASMR numb" and I feel it has something to do with watching for almost 4 years as of now. The only way I can get those absolutely drunk off my ass tingles anymore that knock me slap out is when I take sleep aid.

@TirarADeguello7 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I came up with that segway of a term, using the outdated "Grand Maul" seizure for "Full body tingles" phrase. I thought Grand Maul sounded more dramatic to express the effect than the other. I do think I was the first person and only person I know of to do several videos mentioning the effect to see if others receive it as well? I'd be interested in anyone clarifying or correcting my information on it, no problem there. thank you as well.

@TirarADeguello You mentioned something I’m not sure I quite understood the pronunciation in this video, something along the lines of the highest achievement in Asmr being the “grand mall” or something along the lines of that spelling. Just talking spit or is there some phenomenon beyond regular tingles here that I could research at least on a word of mouth basis from people?
@TirarADeguello10 ай бұрын
I stole the term, it used to mean a full body seizure, but I use the term to describe a full body ASMR effect of tingles radiating out from all over your body, a "grand mal" tingles.
