What is ASMR and WHY?!
From Wikipedia -- Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. A pleasant form of paresthesia, it has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia and may overlap with frisson.
From me -- Basically, these videos help people relax or even fall asleep. There are plenty of different ways to induce ASMR using either auditory or visual stimuli, but most you will experience on this channel is auditory. The community is huge and amazing and you should explore the vastness of what it has to offer and find out what triggers work for you!

No but I think I've seen the channel you're talking about. After I started focusing this one on N64 content I looked up all the other N64 ASMRtists to see if anyone had done it before, and so anything N64 and ASMR related, I had a peek at. I've been making ASMR for like 8 or 9 years now and this is what it's slowly evolved into. Did some gaming ASMR with animal crossing on GameCube, and when I started speedrunning... Naturally, this happened.
