Lloyd- we are all constantly amazed with your sets and props. We love how it's not over the top, and very simple, but because of that, the ASMR aspect of your content is vastly superior. Some content creating peers go all out on props, but their tone, cadence, scripting and delivery are like a bull in a china shop. You are a natural-born 'Zen priest' and are a gift to those who are in need of ASMR and peace.

His delivery and soft deep voice is so wonderful in comparison to all of the asmr that violates your ears with fast tapping and talking. The simple but effective role plays which keep information to a minimum, taking things nice and slow are a wonderful escape.

Fun Fact about Sushi: The term "sushi" doesn't refer to rice with raw fish. Specifically, Sushi can be translated to something along the lines of "Seasoned Rice", so more directly, Sushi is rice that has been seasoned or flavored in some way, and therefore, sushi can literally be rice with just about anything. It just happens that Japan is a seafood heavy country and they eat raw fish in every variety, so it's easy to see how sushi could be more seen as something that includes raw fish. If one is familiar with certain japanese words, it's easier to tell because the Japanese word for fish is "Sakana", though the origins of that word are another story entirely. Another fun fact about sushi is that it is seen as disrespectful to the chef if one tries to eat a piece of sushi in more than one bite (such as because they can't fit it all at once or some other reason). This is seen as a slight towards the effort the chef put into making the sushi as it messes up the shape and stability of the sushi. Asking for smaller pieces if you can't eat it in one bite is okay, though.

I love your channel, Lloyd. I have tried so many other KZbinrs, but none of them had the same soothing effect as yours. Also, the vid is interesting in a cultural sense. This Sushi has been "Americanized" without a doubt. There is no cream cheese on original Sushi in Japan nor in Europe. As a European, what I have realized throughout the years is this American tradition to mix everything with unhealthy cream cheese or mayonnaise, which is the #1 reason for widespread obesity among the population. There are so many American KZbinr "chef channels", where you can watch them adding cheese and mayonnaise all the time. Even the healthiest food is being "fast-fooded" with these two ingredients. Otherwise, many Americans would find the food bland and tasteless, I suspect. In Japan, there is the tradition to taste every ingredient without any adding in its pure form. Sometimes they add soy sauce, but it tastes a lot different than in Western countries and it´s also quite healthy.
@IllicitActivities2 жыл бұрын
The problem with American obesity is mostly sugar, actually- we've got sugar in literally *everything*, and the stuff is made to be addictive and hard to quit.
@matthiaswagner79222 жыл бұрын
@@IllicitActivities Absolutely true, and unfortunately, as much as I love Lloyd and his excellent-quality vids, I can state this kind of sugar abuse in his vids, too. Of course, you could consider all sweets and treats just as props for his projects. But let´s be honest, there´s a lot of sweet stuff being consumed off-camera afterward. I´m quite sure about that. For instance, as a European, many of these "delicious" recipes for coffees with lots of syrup, creme, and even marshmallows on top is just disgusting for me. Totally oversugared and simply not tasty in my opinion. There´s more sugar than coffee to it.
