When I was first learning to drive, I was ridden with anxiety and I couldn't dispel it for whatever reason. For some completely random reason I decided to speak in a french accent and somehow it made my anxiety completely disappear. Somehow I channeled the temperament of a French tour guide taking a bus through Paris on a sunny midsummer day.

that’s adorable 😂 but it also actually makes sense, it’s like acting. the accent meant that you channeled somebody else kinda, and instead of focusing on your own thoughts and worries, you focused on the thoughts and lack of worries of this character :)

shit i should try this in general putting on silly voices or narrating what i'm doing helps me feel less anxious or stressed about things i do i realize, probably because my brain is having to devote a lot focus and energy towards speaking which diverts from the task.

I'm supposed to be relaxing, and not worrying, but I keep hearing "oops, I can fix that" and "don't worry, you can trust me" and I keep laughing. I don't know what my hair looks like now, kind of afraid to look, but I still have 75% of my left ear, so that's reassuring. I don't know if I've ever laughed so much during an ASMR video, but it definitely made me smile.
