The part where you had to look up "enthusiasm" ("en-thoo-see-as-um" 🙂) was really adorable, and reminded me of your earlier videos when you were still figuring out a lot of English and kind of stumbling over many words. And for what it's worth - that was always very triggering to my ASMR and partly why I started following. So that was a nice sort of throwback, but also made me realize just how far you've come in your English!

Great seeing this again, saw the first one. Being afrikaans it was fun seeing this again and the similarities between the cousin languages. I've noticed there are more similarities between flemish dutch to afrikaans than netherlands dutch. Groete van uit suid afrika, hou aan die puik asmr maak. Geseënde wense aan U en U familie. Don't if this will help but when i was in school i helped my english boet out by having him listen to afrikaans music, band like fokofpolisiekar specifically to help him in vocabulary and pronunciation. Singing work better than reading. It is also how i cured my rhotacism (couldn't roll r properly, pronounced it the way they do in the cape)

It's an amalgamation of a dutch base with french,german, Scandinavian,british(england and other uk nations),khoi, cape malay, bantu,flemish,Portuguese and arabic. It's also an official language that is internationally recognised as an independent language that is used in education. Ghetto languages aren't recognised as such or recognised as a language of institutional education internationally. But nice try. Let me guess, just a troll? Salty eff/anc supporter? Or just a dutch narcissist?

@@beamergent1959 because you have to learn it, you don’t understand how incredibly easy it is for our generation is to learn English . You are constantly bombarded with it just as you were with your native language as a child. You have to know English to use the internet and watch many shows and read many books, that is then supplemented by being taught it at school. Without that need you would find it much more difficult to learn English.

Afrikaans is also similar to dutch, but when you wrote down ass in dutch I was like whaattt.. Because in Afrikaans "kont" is a very bad word. 😅 In English it is spelled with a "c" and a "u" and not a "k" and an "o". Now you know one afrikaans word.🙈😅
