Hi Destiny, the noise coming from your microphone could be a grounding issue, or perhaps a phantom power problem. If the audio interface you are using has a “ground lift” switch, see if that does anything. If your microphone is a condenser mic and needs phantom power, you may have a damaged cable. If your microphone doesn’t need phantom power, see if it is on - it will likely be a button that says “+48” or “48V” - and turn it off. Hope that helps, and LOVE your math/physics videos!!

i think i finally understand why i struggled with algebra so much as a kid. algebra has no "solution" meaning most of the time, you are getting an answer that still FEELS like it isnt actually solving anything numerically speaking. its much more abstract than finding out like 7 minus 5. 3x means nothing to me as an answer to a problem in math, like you wouldnt ever get that as an answer to a "real world" question like oh there are 3x cars over there. or there are x-4 cars over there. i need to stop searching for that finite solution to really start to grasp algebra better

that approach to problem 9 seems way more complicated than it needs to be - you can just multiply the top and bottom by (x - 2). what you did is very rote, which is helpful for people who aren't confident they know what they're doing... but i think it introduces more opportunities for mistakes, and it removes the interesting insight you get by looking at the problem as a whole, which is exactly what math is really about

8:53 just curious, on your written answer here for number 2 the negative was on the bottom but in the answer you circled the negative is on the top, is there any step we should do that transfers the negative from the denominator to the numerator? Or does one number in that fraction having a negative just make the whole fraction negative? Love your videos :)
@siryeetmaximum2 жыл бұрын
Anything divided by a negative is also negative, whether you write it or leave it as it it doesn't matter all you need to make the person understand your answer. For example 10/(-2) = -5 or just -10/2 these both are correct.
@DestinyWhispers2 жыл бұрын
Yeah if there’s a negative in the bottom then the whole fraction is negative. The negative can also be on the numerator too and it would still make the fraction negative :) so it’s pretty flexible ☺️

The fact I was intrigued and curious learning this again that I didn't get to sleep. And yea I think during the number two, since the denominator should be positive, since in most cases we don't want a negative denominator so most of the time the numerator will have to carry over the negative from the denominator, but in which way the answer is still correct.
