This just made me realize how MANY props movies/tv shows actually need. I never thought about how many items actors interact with that had to be specifically bought and planned out.

@@jodi9361 damn. I know my sons 45 minute horton hears a who play took 9 months to make, basically the whole school year. I would imagine most of that time is spent on the set, since my son had memorized his lines in a week. I never really thought about it though, I just thought “hey i guess that’s how long it takes” my son needed new shoes to go with the play, that he had to paint brown cause he was playing a monkey, but the rest was provided by the school and I assume getting all that stuff to the actors with the correct measurements was partially your work? Maybe the costume designers?

Yes, absolutely, it’s a lot of work! I did props all through high school and it what I’m currently pursuing as a career, and I can definitely tell you there is a *lot* more that goes into it then you’d think, but it’s also super rewarding!

I just realized my favorite ASMR trigger is when someone delicately handles items that are quite noisy. I definitely preferred the sounds of the real items over the movie props because I love crinkly sounds but especially the fact that Gibt handled these so delicately was what made me tingle.

I’ve seen the video as well, and found it amazing how they create noiseless props that looks identical to those everyday items. So cool under normal circumstances, but it’s made even cooler when you combine with ASMR! Gibi always coming up with the most unique ASMR ideas!

I never thought I’d see the day silent bags would be used in ASMR, haha. I remember when my Prop Master asked me to get them for the first time and it blew me away. I had no idea what he meant at first and definitely brought him a mall plastic shopping. My only gripe with them is they don’t wrinkle like normal bags do. So cool to see my work finally mesh with….what I use to relax….haha.

Id love to see all these movie props used in roleplays i noticed they also sell department store bags which could be used in a clothing store roleplay with measuring and picking fabric designs and then putting the clothing into the bag at the end just piece is all together flawlessly. ❤️

HERE ME OUT. I HAVE A REALLY GOOD IDEA FOR A VIDEO. „Unsipping your brain“ you basically do that and then take out colour and you edit them away and put them back. Or you take the sight out and everything gets blurry and you put it back. You could even do the hearing on one ear. Use a 3D audio.
