I am back in England and very happy to be enjoying this beautiful spring.
York is a beautiful old city, I thought my overseas fans may enjoy seeing a bit of old English architecture that isn’t London, there’s sooo much more to England! Let me know where I should head next

I studied at York University & lived in York. If you do decide to do another video there, you could do a cycle along the solar system path to Riccall. If you are lucky you might see a Little Owl on the way & there's lots of nice trees. On the way out of York you would pass Rowntree park which is lovely, and there is a coffee shop there to pause at. After that you would cycle past the racecourse to join the solar system cycle path. If you decide to do Cambridge next, you could pop on the train to Ely, my hometown, which is 20 mins by train. Here we have a huge cathedral (which you could film instead of York Minster, as it's equally beautiful). Then, we have a nice independent chocolate shop you could film, pretty town centre, and beautiful walks along river. If you come on Thursday or Saturday we have a small but bustling market where you can have coffee on top of the silver oak bus, and watch people go about the market. If you want to wait a bit, you could come on July 2nd for our annual aqua fest (where boats race down the river) and there is a fayre, or my personal favourite Apple and Harvest Fayre 2023 on 7th October. Also, nice beaches in Norfolk, such as Brancaster or Holkham sands. Or Blakeney point to film the seal colonies (only between October - January, unless you get on a boat). Otherwise, I like Brownsea Island.

I went to England for about 6 weeks for work several years ago and spent most of it in York. Such a lovely charming city. It felt like a second home for me and I'll always want to go back. Thanks for taking me back there if only vicariously. I ate a lot of dinners at an amazing Pakistani restaurant called Akbar's. I wonder if it's still there.

Good to see you enjoying your home region of Yorkshire. I really like it up there. Spent just a couple of days in York but was blown away by its archaic atmosphere. Amazing to watch everyone wandering around the ancient buildings and seemingly view it all as normal. Good to see nice springtime English gardens and the quaint, narrow shopping streets. Now you are back in the UK I was wondering whether you would be interested in some of the stone circles. Further south there are crop circles that appear rather regularly as well - usually around Wiltshire. Good aerial shots with your drone of these sites would be fantastic.

What a great video! It makes me really nostalgic because I used to live in York a few years ago and I really miss it. It's one of the few places I would consider living my whole life there. You should definitely go back during Christmas time as it's so lovely. The decorations are so festive and jolly.

Oh wow I loved this so much and it was incredibly relaxing and soothing! I love York from my favorite TV show Gentlemen Jack lol. Was really cool to see it through your eyes. I would love you to visit there again and anywhere else you want to show us!

It is so reassuring to know that parts of Britain still retain their authentic heritage, culture, and people in spite of all the not-to-good changes taking place in other parts like London. The next time I leave the Caribbean to go on holiday in England, York will one of the beautiful places to definitely visit. Thanks for this most welcomed video tour.

Where I live in the US, we don't have any old, historical buildings. They get torn down and turn into parking lots, carwashes, or Amazon warehouses. I love it when you make these videos about places in England that I'll never be able to visit and talk about their history. I wish they would get more views so it would be worthwhile for you to create more of this type of content. There's so much beauty and history in England. I like that it's preserved and respected, rather than looked on with apathy and destroyed. The attitude in my part of the US is all about money. It's cheaper to destroy something than it is to repair it. We dig up our beautiful forests and prairies to plant cornfields, build airports, and erect hundreds of bird-killing wind turbines. I could just scream at the ignorance of it all. More English wandering videos, please 😊

What is scary, is it seemed like yesterday, i watched your video you made in England, from your home and the rain beating down outside..... You told us that by time we saw the video, you would already be on your travels. Here you are back home already....... I swear as you get older, someone hits the fast forward button on life. York is my hometown ...the 'canal' is actually the river ouse which is joined by the river Foss at walmgate .....prone to flooding .....but definitely not a canal ....sorry

That looks like a great place to explore. I love the history, architecture and the little shops. It is very cozy. The vegan tea is very nice and other vegan options. I'd like to see Cambridge and enjoy the older parts of Britain. Very beautiful.

Betty’s isn’t as Yorkshire as you’d think, as there was no one called Betty and the company was founded by a Swiss man. Also, Diagon Alley was sadly not inspired by the Shambles, this is a well known myth that JK Rowling has confirmed is not true. It hasn’t stopped the street being flooded with wizard inspired shops though!
