OG tinglers! I love it. I remember when ASMR didn't have a name yet and I was just a teenager looking for videos of relaxing things to soothe my anxiety. Never in a million years knew how far this would come and that there were others like me.

There’s such artistry and personality in many old hand-written or hand-drawn documents, letters, manuscripts, and blueprints too. They often command a kind of reverence, stillness, and reflection...

Rex Racer absolutely. I took a print making class in art school and got a huge appreciation for paper throughout history
@mikemorr1005 жыл бұрын
I never knew there was an actual word for this. I've always enjoyed looking at old documents that have no "worth" today. For example a lease from 1924. All involved parties are long gone and the document itself holds no true meaning to anyone today but it's cool to see. Makes you wonder about the daily, untold history of people whose names have been forgotten.

True, I only found out about the word an meaning. I have been one for quite some time ánd even had a summer-job once! Collecting old pictures (some as old as 1910) from an archive to scan them into the computer. Special acid-free paper folders with the pictures in them, a special airconditioned archive. Gloves were obligatory and some pictures had curled up significantly over the years. The smell of the pictures, some pictures that were sent as postcards to other people, signed pictures by extremely famous dancers from the past, it was great. Shame the company doesn't exist anymore.

Quick Correction: "Penzance" a town, civil parish and port in Cornwall, in England, United Kingdom. There is a famous musical called the pirates of penzance.
@TheSighingDutchman5 жыл бұрын
Exactly....... I was reminded of the very same musical just yesterday when KZbin seemed to be pushing non-stop reruns of "American Dad", the US cartoon by Seth MacFarlane, through multiple channels. One of the episodes was about that alien Roger playing some blonde bimbo called 'Miss "something" Crinklehole' known for her awardwinning performance of this play. XD eheheh...Culture.... P.S. Strange, how I was able to recall the last name of that personage, yet totally forgot her first name......

Hello; I love your videos and was wondering why you’re not on the Tingles app anymore? I swear I was listening to your videos on there just last week but when I went to search today they had no record of your channel! I’ve started to use that more than KZbin for ASMR so I’m a little sad now haha. Hope you’re well.
@TheSighingDutchman5 жыл бұрын
*@Laura Taylor >>* *Because the 'Tingles' App rips off the artists.* Just search for it here @ YT or @ Google, lots of pissed-off folks who couldn't even stop when they wanted, because of contractual obligations or something along those lines. The way the recording industry leech off of their 'clientele', so do the proprietors of this app leech off of the asmr-tists.

Wonderful ASMR as always, but your difficulty in reading the 19th century writing and misreading of "Penzance" as "Pengance" (due to the cursive z not being commonly-used now) suggests that you need to do some research on cursive.
