I’m a certified music teacher and xylophone has definitely become an umbrella term for this type of instrument even though there are several categories based on shape and materials.

This is the most personally controversial ASMR video I've experienced. On one hand: super pretty nails that I'm very jealous of, INSANELY tingly, hand movements are very satisfying. On the other hand: oh my god it makes my teeth hurt and my spine feels horribly crunch in the same way scratching on ice and frosted glass do (worst triggers I've ever experienced). It's high-pitched and makes my head hurt a bit if I think about it too much. But man, I'm gunna listen to it all anyway because it's just nice enough to try and ignore the negatives. It’s just clear-toned enough that if I imagine a texture glass decanter or something, I can convince myself it's just oddly musical, unfrosted glass and not metal. Funny how textures and pitch can be so intense even just through a video.

I will forever have beef with glockenspiels b/c one fell from it’s(admittedly janky) stand, and broke my foot in multiple places when I was in my senior year of high school. It was during the winter concert no less🫠. ‘Twas a hefty boy too, so pretending it didn’t hurt me and finishing the concert was a struggle😅.
