All bodies are good bodies, truly. Also: half the trick is learning how to dress for your shape/lines -- I'm doing some videos related to this in January but maybe one day I'll also collect some clothes that simply don't work on me and show you!

Ideally the lines your clothes create are generally smooth and uninterrupted -- for example, super straight, dramatic lines (like shift dresses and bold, modern, geometric looks don't look great on me because my flesh/curve tends to disrupt those lines). So if we take the "body shaped like a laundry bag" example, I'd look for clothes that lie nicely at the widest measurements and then skim/graze the rest of the body (skim/graze being the operative words because we don't want a sack, either, that drowns you out). Also a good general rule is to try to seek balance (there are other body types though that look really great with contrasting shapes/lines because their features are already contrasting and these lines create harmony with that, hope this makes sense, if not I'll explain more later). So if you have a bigger top half, it could work to find a well-fitted top and then a bottom that has a little volume to balance the top and vice versa; if you have a bigger middle, say, you can also find balance in fabric weights and shapes e.g. a straight-leg jean (or wide!) or flared sleeves etc. Of course it's impossible to say without knowing more about your body type but those are just some general thoughts! Ultimately we all have bodies that move and change and fluctuate, and that is entirely normal, and fashion is fun because it's made FOR our bodies, not the other way around (i.e. bodies made FOR fashion -- no no no). 🤗
