And yes, on with the butter is the literal translation, but the idiom itself means (not literal translation) Keep on, or, lets go, or, get on with it, or, in my own words, STOP BEING SO LAZY, GET YOUR BUTT OFF THE COUCH AND GO DO (Insert thing to do).
