You'd probably be surprised if I tell you that I live in China, and works on a Skyriter everyday now. The asterisk key and question mark were stuck on the right side of it, and I've spent 3 nights to get them fixed. My wife wasn't happy that I was knocking and hitting till midnight in my study, but hell this was fun. Then I followed your instructions to re-ink the ribbon, what a mess but hey the text did become darker. I have always been a heavy-duty typist at work. Academic and technical writing is what I do. My next hunt is a Hermes 3000, very hard to find here. Enjoying this ASMR episode while working on my own set.

LOL, Damon. I did hear the bell, faintly. It's about as quiet as the one in my skyriter. I guess the anemic volume is appropriate when typing at 30,000 feet with sleeping passengers around you. 😏

I started out as a touch typist, Douglas…many years ago. Now like any good pianist, I suppose (or guitar player), the mind thinks, the hands fulfill. I try not to get in the way and everything seems to go well. Yes, of course, that’s a guitar. I love to play. Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time in Open G tuning.
