Lloyd, I can say I am definitely educated by these MRE videos, some ideas about how to unpack and prep an MRE before I eat it. And to always avoid the older MRE if I want a better tasting one.

I don’t know if you’ve had the chance to try it yet, but if you get your hands on a chili mac, it’s pure gold, especially when you’re freezing in the field. It might stop you up, but it’s worth it 😅 you can also use the bag as a bowl, take everything out and roll the bag outwards down until it forms the bowl.
