One of my earliest ASMR reactions as a kid (even though I didn’t understand it and thought it was only me who experienced such) was getting my first eye exam in 3rd grade. It was a combination of personal attention, the dark atmosphere, the optometrist’s cadence, and the noises from the phoropter. I’ve since always associated them with calm.

I got an eye exam the other day. These things are so cool not only from a mechanical and engineering standpoint, but just the sounds, too. It was a pretty relaxing eye exam I won't lie.

Funny story, I went off to navy boot camp on the 9th of September 2020 which was right before you uploaded this. I always had wanted to hear the sounds in a video of one of these since they were so nice and to put me to sleep I would always try to replay the sounds in my head to help me fall asleep

I just especially love the knob that's furthest to the bottom and makes the little click. But few things are as tingle inducing as the phoropter. I actually told my eye doctor about ASMR and how much people seem to love this particular thing; I think he was concerned about me lol

I love your style of using the technical terminology, I think you could use that knowledge to tap into the trigger of explaining and teaching things for a fun roleplay that mixes things up!
