My 10th grade English teacher wouldn’t let us use the word “interesting”. She made us use other descriptive words. I still don’t know why.

Probably because the word, "interesting" is vague. One uses that word oftentimes to be noncommittal in opinion. I am guilty of that sometimes. But it is a completely valid adjective. It perfectly describes so many nouns. 💁🏻‍♀️ I find this topic of conversation interesting. 😅
