For me, old school is pre-roleplay circa 2008. Artists that repeat words and are hyperfocused on trigger sounds have created a perverse ASMR style.

I am so glad I happened to stumble upon a gem like Bluewhisper. I just love the warm, safe and relaxing ambiance she has created for this video as well as her use of fall squash. I also enjoy how realistic she makes it by getting more up close as she "applies" each mask. Her voice is also so soothing and relaxing.
