17:49 not an expert, also, I went from the snow ball to the x so I don’t have a ton of experience but from what I understand, there is no reason to bend the yeti mic forward. When you have the mic set for the Cardioid direction, which is for talking straight into it, the mic is actually better tilted slightly backwards. People are tempted to talk into the top of the mic like a regular handheld microphone. But the yeti isn’t built like that. The X has four microphones tilted on their side, pointing in four different directions. There is no mic pointed it up. Therefore, there is no advantage to tilting the blue yeti forward when talking.
