You're so right about roller skating being drastically different than ice skating. 😂 I can get around pretty well on a pair of ice skates, so I thought picking up roller skating would be easy, but you feel sooo much more off balance. Plus... the ice won't give you road rash when you fall. hahaha

Right?? You hold your body so differently ice skating vs roller skating! It's funny because I feel more off balance ice skating, I guess it just depends on what your body is used to 😂

I don't know. I personally found the feel of roller skates with only one line of wheels (inline skates) kind of similar to ice skates. You are right about the road rash though. I don't usually wear protective gear when ice skating (other than helmet) but I'm not risking my knees and wrists with roller skating.

@@mrstraiban rollerblades and ice skates are very similar. Roller skates like these are way different. I first learned to rollerblade, mastered ice skating as soon as I realized it was nearly the same as rollerblading, and never figured out skating in 2x2 skates

I’m better at roller skating but I like ice skating more because I wear ski pants and it doesn’t hurt when I fall 😛

omg! i've had my moxi skates for about a year and i looooove them. been skating for almost 20 years and the moxies are definitely some of the most if not the most comfortable skates i've ever used. so glad you got a pair and showed us!

Just saw this video, but calms us a lot. Our mom was in many derby leagues since our birth, but from 2nd grade we would often practice with her (as in roller skating outside for a couple hours, not the pushing part lol) and ever since we've been obsessed with roller skating! We've never had enough money to invest in new skates, but our old pair was our mom's and love so much, but love have shared passion of roller skating!!! Reminds us of fun times skating with our mom at rinks and her showing us the different wheels and how to tighten them/replace laces and such :) thank you (Our opinion, we have ones that go below ankle and don't like the toe stop because we trip on it a lot, we stop mainly by swerving and moving our skate sideways. and let's us go backwards and swerve/spin easier, also toe stops always trip us up as kid because we'd naturally lean forward and get stopped ahah)
