You are precious and must be protected. 💖 Polly Pockets were my life as a child, my mother used to pick up the older sets from garage sales in the late nineties and every time she brought a new one home, my other PollyPockets would throw a pool party to welcome them to the neighborhood! Hahaha

Dizzy Dreams wow what was it like growing up in the late 90s early 2000s. I grew up with rubber poly pockets, Hannah Montana blues clues and stuff like that. By the time I was born KZbin was already around.
@dizzydaydreamwishes4 жыл бұрын
@@loreleimullins5269 Wow, how to answer that question. Here it goes: My baby shows where things like Little Bear and I also was raised on Blue's Clues. I woke up in the morning to watch Hey Arnold before school, and As Told by Ginger was my nighttime favorite -and if I could stay up late enough It was Ah! Real Monsters, and Are You Afraid of the Dark (which I was 😄). Push Pops were all the rage and if someone gave you a ring pop that could definitely be what is called now a "meet cute". Everyone had choreographed their own dance to at least one Britney Spears song. What was "fire" back then was called "the bomb". We had popcorn shirts that were the size that would fit a doll, yet somehow stretched to fit a tween. Our toys ranged from hot wheels, army men, Barbies (of which I even had a Mary-Kate and Ashley duo. Do you even know who they are?) When I think about my childhood I think of hot pavement, I think of staying outside until the sun went down and we couldn't see our feet. I think of swimming pools where we would play that we were mermaids, and trees where we would pretend that we were fairies. Nowadays when you ask kids to go outside and play their responses usually "play what?" Lol. However we had our video games too. Spyro, Donkey Kong, Crash Bandicoot -all the originals as well as the new invention that was the "internet". Waiting for dial-up was as ridiculous as the memes make it out to be, you could not be on the internet and on the phone at the same time. There was no such thing as a cell phone for me until I was about 13, and even then it was this cute little digital thing that looks closer to a gigapet than what our phones look like today. However, ask any '90s kid and they'll tell you how fun Snake was and how frustrating Tetris could really be. What are some of your favorite memories from growing up in the 2000s? What stands out the most?
