the temperature has finally dropped, and as we get ready to crawl into bed,
i can see you shivering, wrapping your arms around yourself to fight off the chill.
each step you take towards the bed, you seem to feel colder and colder.
when you finally slip under the covers, i pull you close, letting my warmth seep into you.
i hold you tightly, feeling your body relax bit by bit as the cold fades away.
i'll always be here to keep you warm, no matter how cold the nights get.
