At 1:31:31 your mic changes and lighting changes. Obvious step away. Then you come back with a bishop move you weren't considering and end up playing it. Obvious that you decided to use an engine. That's ok. You're just playing a computer. But I wish you'd just say it. Those things are important to me as a chess player. I love the video idea as always. Love these man vs comp videos. Asmr was amazing as always. Keep going!
@AS-yi1gj6 ай бұрын
I really don’t think he would use an engine and not saying. He might have been carried away talking faster. And then trying to return to ASMR voice.
@asmrsplinter6366 ай бұрын
It's pretty obvious actually. Go watch it again. It's an obvious video edit. Then he comes back and postulates a very hard move to find that is very nonhuman.
@theGhostWolfe3 күн бұрын
It’s an asmr video, edits are super common when an unwanted sound occurs, or maybe he needed to step away from filming for a perfectly innocent reason. Why jump to the malicious conclusion?

@ASMRChess little bit late but actually there was a way out of that checkmate for the M-805. And based on the position, the game would still very much be in the balance. I think the correct move would have been Ke1 instead of Ke2. The sequence would have been Ke1, Bf3, R(d2)e2, Qg1, Kd2 and the king escapes somehow. Basically white has to sacrifice the rook but it frees up the crucial d2 escape square.

At the end the move ke2 wasn't a blunder. Even after ke1 you have mate in 2 (qh1+, ke2, bf3)

My kasparov 1750 (?) with the really tiny pieces liked that English opening.
@Nintendoss-YT6 ай бұрын
White had a lot of counterplay at 1:44:50 if he played king e1 instead of king e2. After queen g1 and king e2, the bishop can no longer play your fatal checkmate because the queen no longer defends that square. This gives white time to play rook on d2 to c2, threatening to trade down your backline and win the game. Maybe you play pawn g6 for an escape square (sacrificing both rooks in the process), but this is extremely bad for black. If white had not blundered horrificly, I actually think white is winning hard in that position. I can only agree that there is a great weakness in the program regarding king defense. Still, amazing gameplay from yourself and the board!
@VashBSJ6 ай бұрын
Queen can go to h1, keeping the defense of the bishop in f3 If King e1 Queen h1 King e2 Bishop f3 mate

you are correct if not for what @VashBSJ pointed out (which I missed during the game) that if Ke1black has Qh1+ with mate to follow.

@andersol55156 ай бұрын
No! But, I have given it a lot of thought recently and I wish there were! I feel that the personalities at the top level of chess are so over-the-top already, you hardly have to change anything. Just given them all dramatic backstories. I looked this up when I was thinking about it a few months ago and apparently chess is not too popular in Japan compared to something like shogi so maybe there will never be a chess anime.
