There are many examples of figurative art in the history of Islamic culture, and representational art was protected for centuries in countries like Syria (e.g. Palmyra) and Afghanistan (Bamiyan Buddhas), until extremist groups destroyed them in the 21st century.

I have been thinking/guessing about how long we will continue this series. Now we are still at 'Ba', nice. Only 29 % of the earth surface is land, that's about 149 Million squere km. And if only 15% if that would be used by men, how long, one episode per day and about 60 x 120 km a chunk of land per episode, how many days will it take to get through? (10 years? 20? Or could even half or three quarters of one life not do?) (Throwing in advance all from Aaaa to Zzzz into a lottery and have a daily drawing wouldn't make it shorter, but put another element of surprise into it all? And would probably need a little bit more sophisticated bookkeeping?) Baff - in Bay - I will make myself a bookmark for when we will be there😊 Anyway, as always my best wishes to you and to Washington USA!

Once a week you could do a “wild card” video, where you randomly choose a region from your list to do. That way people in Zermatt or Zagreb can have some hope of ever seeing their city 😂
