Can I just take a moment to thank you. Harry Potter has helped me so much in my life. It's my everything. And you have given me a place I can escape to, close my eyes and pretend I'm there. These videos make me want to cry. Since I was little, I've been escaping to this world that welcomes me in, and you gave that world sounds I can listen to and calm my anxiety. I have several computer/video games where I'll play to a certain level, then just let the character stand there while I let the background ambience play for an indeterminate amount of time. I love these quiet moments. This is so brilliant, and as a fan of the HP books (not movies), I can't even explain how incredible these videos of yours are. This one in particular takes me right back to my grandparents' countryside house in Europe. Wooden steps, wooden doors, grandfather clock, cooking in the kitchen, the whole nine yards. Absolutely incredible. How ironic to discover your channel on Thanksgiving, because I am so thankful right now lol.

there was always a scene in one of the Monkey Island games I used to do that with. can't remember which game now but I just remember the music and random sounds in the scene, like pots and pans in the kitchen being moved, it was really nice and relaxing.

xneverwalkalonex The SCUMM engine should be a free download, and I can run MI 1, 2, and 3 on it easily on my old macbook pro. (You may have to "get" the games by other means.) The Tales of MI games (there're five of them) I think you can still buy or find cracked versions. The fourth game I've never played because it's impossible to get working on any computer and not worth the hassle imo anyway.

I often come back to this, it's perhaps the only ambient soundscape video that I listen to as closely as any spoken ASMR video. I weave narratives around it, watch the simmering pot or the shadows of people passing. It feels so much like home - my own home, the nostanglic home of childhood reading, just a warm and combortable "silence" that's not lonely. Thank you for this beautiful piece of art.
