I love that your daughter loves Miraculous Ladybug! I watch the English version but it’s the show that inspired me to learn French and now I’m going to study abroad in France for 4 months starting in just a few weeks! I still can’t understand a full episode without subtitles but I can usually understand most of the French subtitles without translation. Also, I looked up the Ranma 1/2 anime and I’ve already watched half of season 1! A lot of these gifts are stuff that I would have loved as a kid so I’m sure she’s going to love them! I actually like diamond painting and sewing and stuff now so if she likes them be prepared for the long haul XD. Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas!

Hi Jen! I know this comment is a bit late, but I just got around to watching the video backlogs after the holidays. It's great that your daughter is interested in sewing! I sew my own close almost exclusively now, primarily with thrifted fabrics, and it's incredibly rewarding and gives me a much healthier view on the true cost of clothing. I just wanted to let you know that children's and other sewing machines marketed towards beginners tend to be very poorly made and end up being very frustrating to use. A lot of people give up because of this, but please don't let this deter your daughter. If she continues to show interest in sewing, consider picking up an older second hand machine. There's a ton of great sewing machines available for very little. That's how I got my first machine, and I still use it daily. Happy sewing!

Lovely video Jen! One of my good friends from high school really got into art by tracing manga/anime and then she started drawing freehand over time and creating her own characters and stories. She now works for an animation studio. 😊 It might be helpful for your daughter to have gridded paper to draw with so that it’s easier to map out the proportions. There’s also a lot of great KZbin tutorials she can follow if she enjoys that sort of thing. 😊 She might also like a book on how to do fashion drawings if she’s wanting to design clothes for her dolls or teddies or for herself. 😊

I love the learn to draw manga books, it’s how I got into it and learnt the right way to do it. There are some amazing ones by Mark Crilley too if she gets into it
