A friend of mine's dad passed away. He was a optometrist and had hundreds of frames in his store. My friend let me go though and pick some out, it was a lot of fun going through them with the family.

I actually just very recently lost my oldest and best friend to suicide (he was 24) and his dad has a huge collection of bicycles that i also looked through to pick a bike.. Its always weird to do something like that. If you read this.. call an old friend. Thanks for the video

FYI, An optometrist tests vision and prescribes eyewear. An optician is someone who fits glasses. 😊

I've been to places where the optometrist does both. My last eye checkup the optometrist checked my eyes, said I needed new lenses, asked if I also wanted new frames with the new lenses then went through the glasses they had and fitted me.

That might be the technical definition yes, but do you think a buisness owner cares about that difference? Why hire an optician AND an optometrist when you can hire one person to do both jobs and slap a much cheaper and untrained "sales assistant" to work the counter and deal with payments/insurance? In all my 15 years of wearing glasses, and having many, many different pairs of glasses due to thoroughly declining vision, I have never had an optician fit me for glasses. Always been the same local optometrist. I don't doubt that yes, that is formally the job that opticians/optometrists are supposed to do, but there most certainly are exceptions and I don't think it's something to get upset over for a roleplay. A roleplay of an optometrist fitting me for glasses isn't odd at all for me because that's what my local optomestrist has been doing for me for years. You need to watch some more ASMR vids and relax and stop worrying so much about something so little.

What the buggery bollocks is a "maybe pile" it's not like you are piling the glasses up on top of one another in a big pile isn't it? I saw another woman doing that on here with a similar video. Makes no sense. Why don't you just say, I will put the ones you like over here? And the ones you don't like over there? "maybe pile" sounds stupid.

A "maybe pile" is a very common phrase used when picking out something new to buy, it refers to a metaphorical 'pile'. It's the collections of things you're not 100% sure you like, but you don't dislike them enough to simply reject the items.
