I do not recommend installing Linux applications on ChromeOS, because in principle it is like running a Linux virtual machine on ChromeOS. This means that the resources are quite large, even though we know that ChromeOS is a solution for low hardware specifications. but that's just a suggestion, it all depends on your decision.

You would need something like wine to run an exe on a Linux based device. But I would recommend seeing if there is a native Linux version of the app you are trying to run first.
