I had exactly the same problem. I opened crosh (Ctrl + Alt + T) and typed: vmc destroy termina I then went to Chrome Settings, Linux (Beta), Remove Linux for Chromebook and this time around it worked! You will then need to open Linux (Beta) again in Chrome Settings. I hope this helps.

Great video! I'm guessing before this goes Gold Google is going to put a software center in there if you click you want Linux? If people switch on Linux and then can't install an app there is going to be confusion and if someone tells them they have to go into a terminal and learn how to do stuff they'll just turn the Linux option off.
