It's a weird interaction but you couldn't have played surrounded and exposed and resolve it before need for vengeance. Surrounded and exposed is a start of turn, need for vengeance resolves top of round before there is the first start of turn

Around 35:00 are you sure you can trap a shift? I don't think a shift is an action in this game.

You can't. Shifts aren't actions so don't proc traps. That said it also would have only been a 2" shift because Starks didn't control horse
