Dave Allen was fantastic. Much missed comedian. Love Penelope Keith too. Very underrated actor . Love her as Agatha Raisin.

@@pspence9569 Hello. Hope your day is going well. Penelope Keith played the Agatha Raisin character on BBC Radio in 2004. It's lovely to listen in bed and very relaxing. Far better ( in my opinion ) than the television series. I watched one episode on KZbin and the Audio book is better. Hunt them down in aidio books and I'm sure you'll find you love them and revisit the stories often 😀

@@Lee-nh5bb You’re Welcome Lee. Love the whole of the Agatha Raisin radio series. There was a television series of Agetha Rasin ( I’ve watched a couple of episodes on KZbin ) but not a patch on the radio production. May I suggest another story group on “Get Sleepy” Various story tellers but I would say the best is a man named Thomas who’s got a soothing voice, also Steven Dolton (though I don’t like his voice) found on KZbin along with others on the channel. Another good story Channel is Cheryl’s Sanctuary. Good to help you relax and sleep to. Better than a television any day. You also have R4 and R4 Extra. Who needs a television??.

@@londonbabe2467 Yes, I never really liked the tv series, but will look forward to hearing the radio series. Thanks for the suggestions. I really enjoy the Charles Paris series with Bill Nighy, although it's not great to go to sleep to as it's pretty loud in places. I also enjoyed The Sensitive series.

Funnily enough when this was originally shown in 1991, people claimed it was rubbish in comparison to what Parkinson did in the 1970s. Now people say that what is on TV now is rubbish compared to this......

Were Aspell and Parkinson on different networks in the UK?

Parkinson was mostly on BBC (but he did have a spell on ITV) while Aspel was usually on ITV.
