Autoroute 35 and 10 - Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu to Montreal - 2020/07/11

Drivelapse video of several freeways in the Greater Montreal Region including Autoroute 35 (Autoroute de Vallée des forts), Autoroute 10 (Autoroute des cantons de l'est, Autoroute Bonaventure), and Autoroute 720 (Autoroute Ville-Marie), through Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu overtop of the Champlian Bridge, through Downtown Montreal and following both directions of the Ville-Marie Autoroute through the Turcot Interchange.

To get it aligned with I-89 in Vermont it looks like it's going to have to take a large curve to the east around that lake "Bale Missisquoi" and somehow attach back up to Quebec Highway 133 before the border. Thanks for the ride! I'll have to head back to Montreal when the LRT is complete to give that a ride :-D

Autoroute 35 is the main route from Montreal to Boston. When the Canada/US border reopens, you should visit Boston!

Since Quebec Highway 133 connects I-89, how can A-35 merge Highway 133 to connect I-89? That will provide a quicker access to Lake Champlain coming from the east while in Vermont. A-15 connects I-87 in the state of New York and you'll get great views of Lake Champlain from the west of that lake.

4:01 did you know there was a proposed Autoroute 6 linking the A-35 in St-Jean-Sur-Richelieu to Farnham? The project has been cancelled somewhere in late 1970s or early 1980s (I don't remember the date)

Funny. Right at the same day that the MTQ announced on Twitter the beginning of stage III of the Forts Valley Freeway (A-35) construction, you post its entirety. ;d So, how's the partial underground interchange between A-10 and A-720?

That is funny timing. There were a lot of surveyors out when I drove to the bottom of A-35 last month. I've driven the ramps between A-10 and A-720 before (and to be honest, I liked it more before A-10 was truncated south of A-720), but that downtown interchange complex is pretty neat. It's a shame that A-20 was never extended to A-25, because I feel that downtown freeway is not used to it's full potential as it is now.
